What is the Asisi Panorama "Luther 1517"?
The artist Yadegar Asisi has created a monumental, all-around painting that depicts Wittenberg at the time of the Reformation. The colossal circular image is about 15 meters high and 75 meters in circumference and combines historical scenes with everyday moments on the city's streets and squares.
In the specially constructed round building on Lutherstraße, you can expect:
- a 360° view of medieval Wittenberg
- a three-story platform in the center from which you can discover new details
- a sound and light show where day and night alternate in the panorama
- numerous well-known figures such as Martin Luther, Katharina von Bora, Philipp Melanchthon, and Lucas Cranach in various scenes

- After a few minutes, you will reach the rotunda-style panorama building at Lutherstraße 42
